Re: SR500 - ideas?

Yep, agree with all of the above....

SR's are great to bob, remove all that is not needed and enjoy the ride.

Re: It's a matter of being in the right spot at the right ti

Hey all, It seems that when the forum crashed, it seem to have deleted a couple of posts, so here are the pictures again. Air box removed and open snorkel positioned using the rubber manifold from the old air box. http://i323.photobucket.com/albums/nn473/lnh_kustoms/2a1368d2.jpg Then the exhaust was...

L&H's Garage on an off day

Hey all, just thought I take a pic or 2 and show where all the mayhem happens when Helen kicks me out of the house. http://i323.photobucket.com/albums/nn473/lnh_kustoms/27c92ffc.jpg http://i323.photobucket.com/albums/nn473/lnh_kustoms/fd196e00.jpg The Sportster on the extreme right is a friends who ...

Re: It's a matter of being in the right spot at the right ti

HI all, Well the wrist and shoulder have finally started to heal and I've made a little progress on the Yammie 1600. Sine the last instalment, I've made a seat pan to cover the battery; It's a damn shame that battery sits up so high, But I intend not to run springs and I am going to keep the soft-ta...

Great Job Prof,

I actually went to the last picture and thought, "What a great mock up, that's gonna be a sweet looking scoot when wired up and kick in anger for the first time".

Silly duffer me.

Re: It's a matter of being in the right spot at the right ti

Hey all, Sorry I haven't been posting some pic's for an update, but I was hit by a car about 6 weeks ago while walking the dog and broke my wrist as I fell to the ground. Broke it in 3 places and has now been fixed with a S/S plate and 12 "well placed " screws (as the doctor states). The wrist is on...

Yer, Who would have thought, and I supposed I guessed it would have been a little more than that, but... After all it is a 99, maybe the post 05' models have a little more closer to 50 odd hp with minor mod's (Pipes, air filter and re-jetting)? I think that if I get it up around 50 - 55hp, I'll be m...

Ummm, Yer! Remember that it was submerged by the floods in Northern Victoria. When we ran it, We had later realised that we: Hadn't changed the spark plugs Hadn't changed the air filter Hadn't done anything other than 5 oil changes to get clean oil in it and we hadn't even cleaned it, so I'm guessin...

hey

Hey,

Try "Britbikes" (I think that's what they are called) in Greensborough, they are usually good for things like that as they deal with older triumphs as well as the new.

Cheers

update

Hi All, Thought I'd pass on a little update as I've started getting into the 1600. Prior to doing anything, I had the bike Dyno-tuned from the boys at High Octane Motorcycles in Thomastown. http://i323.photobucket.com/albums/nn473/lnh_kustoms/dba8bfe5.jpg The Pink line is a comparison of where my XV...

hi

Yer, From what I can make out, the bike was completely submerged, as I needed to replace the speedo as it was water damaged. And I went for my first ride on it yesterday and it was a blast. It ain't no XVS1100 as the difference in weight is so different (It's so much heavier) and the power delivery ...
