Well i finally ran out of gremlins and i got my cbx running, i spent three days doing black magic - electrics. Only to find my new outta warranty battery had a dead cell and another one failing so $200 bucks later and a two day wait and my dad and i got it running at first i kept the revs below 2500...

I,m going and i should be able to drag the missus down on her bike.

Sorry mate i fly back to work the day before, so i,ll miss this one. The rim i,ve got is off an early xl 250 - rim, hub and tyre no axle or brake plate.

Now thats priceless, problem is though most of that can relate to pommy stuff as well but then again it,s all for the challenge and the love of the ride.

A 23 inch front wheel may be a stretch as from memory only one bike was released with one - honda xl 250, i may have a rim at home no brake plate though but knowing honda it should be a standard brake assembly

Is the damaged part colored plastic or coated plastic as that will affect the repiar method If just colored plastic using fine wet n dry, then ultra fine wet n dry and then a cutting/buffing compound you can basiclly polish it out , if it,s coated use same principalbut you will need to recoat/repain...

I would love to do this one i,ll run it by the war department for her first major ride/rally all depending on work though.
