I have a 83 kz twin as well on the go,fully stripped for a total rebuild,managed to score ALL the engine parts and I mean ALL parts off ebay for a tad over a 500 bucks...cant wait to complete it, going for a flat tracker look

Wire wheels would be awesome and Im chasing some as well

Got a KZ 750 twin that is taking shape, all new internals in the engine and just starting the cosmetic side of things .. The frame has those ugly side tubes on the main frame where the tank sits. OK I have all of the top end off and the pistons as well,found 2 broken rings on the one piston and this must have been the reason the whole side. head,valves Piston crown etc were all gummed up with carbon as the other side was fairly clean throughout. Pistons and rings for this old beast are cheap...
