Bars mounted off top of forks.

When I got this bike it had 12" over forks, looked great but way too long to be legal. This is my solution. Slipped the forks through the trees and had a brace made to fit on the tops of them. Mount risers and bars directly off the forks. The bike has stock 750 bars now, so it looks a bit cleaner th...

bits of gasket..

Well, here's a good reason for an engine rebuild. No idea how old these gaskets are but it seems a couple of fresh oil changes and a bit of use was all too much for them. Bits in sump plus bits stuck to screen equals no oil in top end. https://preview.ibb.co/kY5qZ5/20170625_155315_1.jpg https://prev...

Re: Almost ready for the road..

Here's a bit of a time line in pictures. As purchased, 12" over, raked trees, 14' apes, super cool but not legal... https://preview.ibb.co/mtyce5/57_3.jpg Starting to swap parts. Change tank, change bars, stock tree, forks slid up, tall risers, coolest bars in the world. https://preview.ibb.co/h468m...

Re: Almost ready for the road..

Ok, it seems that Photobucket now want to charge 400 odd $ per year to be able to third party host pictures. Stuff that... This is what the bike looks like now. The flat bars were on it to keep it low for the inspector. Once it was registered I messed around with a couple of different bar and riser ...

Re: Almost ready for the road..

Well, it was a long time coming but The 750 Chop finally got on the road all legal and inspected. The inspection its self wasn't too much of a problem, the inspector was great and once he gave it a check over and made sure the numbers were right had no issue signing the paperwork for registration. A...

Re: SA 2016, Naracoorte ride and swap meet...

Here's one more road trip shot, on the road from Naracoorte back to Mt Gambier. My son Matthew in the passenger seat doing the photography work. It was great to catch up with you all and has given me a bit of a renewed enthusiasm to finish the 750 and get out on the road. http://i51.photobucket.com/...

Re: K2 Honda 750.

Thanks Guys, the black bike is coming along nicely. Really happy with the way it looks and rides. If I could only sell the blue one it would be a big help! Price dropped on that by the way, asking $4900 now, it's on Gumtree and will be in Just Bikes mag as well. There is a bit of cool period pinstri...

Re: K2 Honda 750.

Cheers, looks better now though. Put the Queen seat back on, fitted a front guard, different tail light, painted the oil tank and made some brackets for pillion pegs. Not far from rego now, just brakes on the front and a good once over. http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f395/BigBlockDodge/IMG_201601...

Re: Options and ideas on long forks and handlebars.

This is where we are at now. Rear seat fitted again and forks pushed through the trees. http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f395/BigBlockDodge/IMG_20160102_140813_693.jpg Close up of forks and risers. I know of another bike that went through an inspection here with forks a bit like this, thinking by e...

Options and ideas on long forks and handlebars.

Hi all. The bike I'm getting ready for the road has a 12" over front that was a nice stance and a great look with the raked trees when i got it but is way too long to go through rego. I've swapped the raked trees for a stock set and have slipped the fork tubes up through to try to get the stance and...

Are either of these any good? The black bike is the reason the blue one is for sale

K2 Honda 750.

For Sale is my Honda 750 4. It's a cool mild custom rather than a radical chopper but has got plenty of period cred. The frame has been smoothed at all the welds, it has a hexagonal oil tank, custom sissy bar, nice low custom seat(plus a spare seat in pics), modified fuel tank to sit closer than sto...

Re: Almost ready for the road..

In the next few weeks with luck. Just need to sort the front brakes, baffle the exhaust and fit a front mudguard. Biggest issue is the broken bones in my left foot that make it a bit tricky to change gears.... Here it is last Saturday at a local show'n'shine. http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f395/B...
