i think you are missing the point there spokes. thats why harley blokes have engraving on the motor, so the leaking oil gets in and shows off the engraving.

I'd double, triple and quadruple check my timing marks first. then i'd check them again. then if no joy i'd contact the cam grinder and check with him/her.

you go out and get your self a set of Hinckley triumph pad, then a calliper, then a kawasaki master cylinder. then a new brake hose..... then you get the rest of the bike to suite.
