Don't suppose anyone would recognise the wheel brand, would they?
I'd like to be able to track down somewhere I can get some from, if I could find the brand/maker.
Thanks
Neale

Re: Suggestions/Pointers
Oh well, looks like I'll be going down a more conventional path, after ignoring me for over 5 days, when I sent a 2nd request for clarification of details about the 21" mag wheel I was trying to get I was told "just sold it over the phone a few minutes ago", and that shipping would have been over $3...

Does anyone have any good methods of finding obscure current parts? While the XT600 project will definitely be a loonngg term one, I'm trying to source the bits I want over the period until I hopefully get it finished. I'm trying to get a front mag for the project at the moment, and I BELIEVE that I...

Re: XS650 wire wheels
One thing that needs checking is how much room there is, everyone said that the early Viagra rear ends were rather narrow/tight.

Re: For something rather different
I certainly preferred the original springer to the dodgy girder, apparently they still had the springer and it's going back on. From an AEE blog entry, the trike/quike has been bought by a small museum and it's being restored to be put on display. Also on the blog was a discussion about the original...

Re: For something rather different
Apparently it came up for sale last year ( easier to find once it was identified ;^) http://corpsesfromhell.blogspot.com.au/2011/08/aee-big-twin-trike-quike.html I think that blower would have served both engines quite well. People were saying that it didn't sell because it got up to 5 grand? I woul...

For something rather different
This one was put up on a US forum

The scariest part is the number plate that implies that it gets on the road.
It's sorta like some of my ex's, so wrong but strangely appealing ;^)

Re: Where is the worth?
If the question is "how can I make money off this", a well restored version of a classic bike would probably make you the most money, personally, the question of "worth" has nothing to do with the question of how much money you can make off something, I'd get more "worth" from building something tha...

Brass Plating?
As a matter of interest, does anyone know how brass plating would hold out on a bike, and in particular, whether there's any chance it would survive on an exhaust? If the gold rims on the 600 are usable (IE the dent in the front rim doesn't mean that it needs to be scrapped), I was thinking a brown/...

Soon to be followed by "you stated that you don't carry a pillion, as you made a fraudulent statement your cover is voided"?
