Need to scrap rim?

I expect that I know the answer to this, but is there any chance of straightening this rim, and if so, any suggestions about how/where to get it done? http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t518/neale666/Picture225.jpg It'd be nice to not have to get a new rim laced onto the hub if it wasn't beyond rec...

Re: Old Dirt bikes as basis for projects

Interesting, someone recently put up pics of "wrong" XTs, and some of them weren't too far from what I'd like to do. http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t518/neale666/tt600chop2.jpg http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t518/neale666/tt600chop1.jpg http://i1063.photobucket.com/albums/t518/neale666/tt6...

Re: NSW Pink Slip inspections

Don't watch TV, that's usually the western suburb kids trying to make their Hyundais look like fast n furious machines, and making them death traps in the process, were they saying that it was the boyracer cars, or bikes as well?

Re: mix n match fork tubes

According to the fork leg stats that were posted here last(?) month, the XVS forks are 125-140mm shorter than the XV1000 legs on the bike at the moment, on the face of it, that doesn't sound like it'd be a viable swap unless I was trying to lower the front? Still trying to find the triple tree offse...

mix n match fork tubes

This was apparently discussed about 5 years ago (way before my time), but to be sure I've got it right, it's viable to use the upper 41mm fork tubes from 41mm dirt bikes with the 41mm lowers from road/cruiser forks, isn't it? I'd like to mate the triple trees and fork lowers from an XVS1100 with the...

Re: geometry calculators

FWIW, if anyone had any interest, I found a separate calculator which provided the extra numbers that I was looking to plug into the rbracing calculator, http://www.csgnetwork.com/righttricalc.html

Catch ya,

geometry calculators

I understand that this is related to topics which have been discussed before (probably NUMEROUS times), but I was hoping that someone may know of a calculator which will provide the changes to wheelbase and headstem height with rake changes? Re: Who watched Bikie Wars?

Snoddy's & Jocs both 1974 FLH and another 1977 Purple FLH Electroglide. Wonder if they will go for stupid $$$ just because they were on TV. You can wear this while riding them http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Bad-Bikie-Wars-Costume-Adult-/150838706865?pt=AU_Costumes&hash=item231eb002b1#ht_652wt_901 Almos...

Welder Certification

Sorry, yet another stupid question.

Does anyone know, or can point me to, the requirements and cost to gain and maintain welder certification?

All the engineering requirements seem to point to using certified welders, is it viable to get the certification if you can gain the skills?

Ta,

Neale
