Re: It's Friday, time for crazy talk?

The Subaru turbo diesel would fit into a VW trike quite well, actually saw one of the VW trikes for the first time in ages outside my house a couple of days ago. The boxer diesels look pretty good, I've been thinking that the Kombi would go wekll with one.

It's Friday, time for crazy talk?

OK, a messed up discussion on the Viagra forum has got a warped idea stuck in my head, and I wanna do it ( when I have a SIGNIFICANT amount of extra cash to fund the exercise ;^) It started with one tool skiting about having a mate being able to cast custom cases, to put a dodgy kickstarter on the V...

"Then back here for a few modifications to improve its lines and provide passenger accommodation."

Personally I think the lines look pretty damn nice the way they are, it's a nice machine that I'd be happy to have as is.

What is it an experiment in. 1/. To see if the people who have suggested a Facebook Event page were right and it would be of any use to anyone. - I've yet to FB be of any use to anyone in anything. 2/. To see if it might help us meet some new interesting like minded people. - The pool of like minde...

Some great bikes, thanks.

NB: Love the linkage rear end in pics 51 & 52 of the photobucket album.

Re: My New Toy

That is a Z31 300ZX Prof, the Series 1 Z31s (pre '87) had the same 4 stud hubs as the 280ZXs. The Series 2 ('87, '88) are commonly known as Calis (California model) and have 5 stud hubs, the Z32 300ZX was the whale that grew to Commodore size (Sorry Nigel ;^) in 1989.

Re: My New Toy

Neale, what z's are you talking of? My son has a stable of 300ZX'x and his mate has a couple of 260's in our workshop he is rebuilding. The last of the 280ZXs and Z31 300ZXs, a fully worked B&H gold '83 Series 2 280 and a white '88 300 Cali Turbo in the process of being "upgraded" (but like everyth...

Re: $500, from cooma nsw to adealaide.

Wouldn't expect too many bites on that one Jon, sorry, I did most of the reverse of that (Adelaide to Canbugga) when I picked up the first of my MLC (Mid-Life Crisis) toys a 4-5 years back and it was a long, boring drive, about 11-12 hours for the first day leg, Adelaide - Young, and Cooma's another...

Re: Easy Rider The Ride Back

OK, for the most part the movie's total shite, and the America is great and God Bless America Bullshit is hard to swallow without gagging, but it has a few cool bikes, most notably the Captain America bike replica which was meant to be the restored bike from the original, and most of the music and s...
