More from the Qld. police commissioner this morning. Front rego plates won't be re introduced for safety reasons, HA ! But there may be electronic tagging of bikes, the technology is available. Persistent little buggar, isn't he.

Just heard the Qld. police commissioner spruking that one. Oh, it's to save motorcyclists lives. How many riders clubs meet at hotels and clubs ? We'll have to hire CWA and scout halls to get together. If they get that idea through any bike parked outside a purveyor of alcoholic beverages will have ...

front rego plate legislation fails

All state police commissioners have been trying to get front rego plates re introduced for motorcycles for some time. The proposal has been squashed partly due to the input of the national pedestrian council. Front plates on bikes were proven to cause harm to riders and pedestrians in collisions and...

i wonder if my little story had been about a Goldwing would the same amount of response been generated. Not knocking Goldwings, but. Blah , blah, blah, there was the goldwing, overdressed with all the bling possible and far too many antennas being tied down on the back of a ute with a group of mates ...

How did the "stop to help" bit come in ? In this instance all help had already been offered.( All bar the tarp to save random p!$$ taking) Maybe we should have stopped to pass on our commiserations ? As it was, on my way home there was a sports bike at the side of the road in the middle of nowhere. ...

You are focusing on the make not the seriously bad luck of someone who has spent so much to achieve the "look" to have it die in the a$$ on the one day when soo many people can see its failure. No one needed to stop to help . It was already ON the ute and his mates were all around. When did Aussies ...

I'm not knocking Harleys,but

While on the Memorial Ride to Somerset Dam last Sunday a Harley in distress was seen. Picture the scene,100 or so bikes in a group cruising along in the 60 km zone near the dam . Off to the right in the park was a group of likely lads standing around a ute. On the ute was a billet beastie Harley cho...

G'day Madis, We can offer you a room with us in Ipswich ( about 1 1/2 hours drive north west of the Gold Coast) . We have a shed with basic tools. Single cylinder trail bikes can come up really nice as a chop. I got a Suzuki DR 650 early this year and gave it the once over. Came up looking very swish. I kept telling myself I'd get the hang of the kick start. My son ( 6 ft 2 ins & 125 Kgs) could kick it over with ease but I never got the hang o...

Sad to read things seem to be going haywire. We said from day one we would not be going and that hasn't changed, sadly. We would like to ride out of Brisbane with the guys on the day though. Waiting on a date for my radiation therapy to start so if my nether regions aren't being put in a microwave w...

There was one Z and two GSs . They looked great and sounded "the business". They sure had a lot of effort put into them, the riders weren't showboating like some . They just went like stink. No clear answer, just great bikes ridden well, what can I say ? I'm no expert. A pleasure to watch.

Street class drags anyone ?

Went to Willowbank drags today for the first time in nearly 30 years. Took the oldest grandson along for his first time at the drags. Had a great time, all sorts of bikes having a go. Some very serious ,some just out for some fun. We did come away thinking the day should have been called the "hyabusa...
