Rear wheel

Hello all

I am chasing a drum brake spoked rear wheel for a bobber project.
I would prefer 18 inch alloy rim but open to other options.
SE QLD suits best.

Pease email at reidy@hotmail.com

Thanks

46mm id shock body

Hello

Has anyone got some old trashed shocks that use a 46mm pistion.
I am after a cople of body's or some 46mm honed internal diameter tube for a project. Prefer brisbane area. I think some macphersone struts use 46mm pistons as well.

Oil Tank

Hello me again with unusual question number 27

What is the opinion when designing an oil tank for how much air space is required? I would prefer the answer as a volume not distance as I would presume different tanks shapes would give different distance.

Wheels

Hello all
I am after a pair of post 2007 spoked dyna or sportster wheels. These are the ones with a one inch axle and hubs made out of alloy. SE Qld preferable but any where will do depending on transport/postage.

Drum brakes

I am building up an Indian bobber and am considering what brakes to use. I would like the period look of drum but I actually want to stop. I have grown up in the world of disk brakes with my only experience with drums is on old dirt bikes with rock hard linings. The question is what would be a suita...

Travel and weight

I have two more questions.
How much travel do you normally get out of a set of girder's?
How do girders compare to tele's for unsprung weight?

Thanks

Telescopic v's Girder

Hello all I would like to hear some honest opinions on the advantages/disadvantages of Girder forks over Telescopic forks. I am not after, which looks better as I can judge that for myself. I would like information on ride comfort, handling in corners, strait line and braking. When giving this advic...

WLA Indian cases

If I have a set of cases without these webs or I remove them to reduce pumping loses can I modify an old oiling system to overcome the need for the webs? If so what do I need to do?

WLA Indian cases

On Indian and WLA cases there is a web in which the con rod passes through just below the barrel. What is the purpose of this web and what are the negatives if it is partially or fully not there? I have heard conflicting reasons for its use. One is an oil scraper to keep oil in the crankcase away fr...
