Kapunda swap meet

Post by jsalt » Sun May 24, 2015 5:21 pm

I meet the guys at Gawler on way , just before I got their by clutch started slipping , I had put new friction plates in on the Friday arvo and it felt good before I left home . We got to Tanunda and meet a member Kirk , a great bloke let me leave bike at his place and let me ride a bobber he made . It was good riding with all the curves in the road on way to kapunda.

We camped at the caravan park , got tents up and I got fire going. The swap meet had a few things I was interest in but not cheap enough . So i left early swapped bikes back kirks place and got back to my place going at a steady 60-70 km . Took me longer than I wanted by I got their .
So now I got to work out why my friction plates didn't work and if their stuffed .
Big thanks to Kirk and his misses for the loan of bike and offers of help. :D

Good on ya Kirk.!

Are you clutch plates in oil? (wet clutch). If so, are you using synthetic oil? Friction discs don't it.

Otherwise it maybe a collapsed spring/plate, or simply a stretched cable. Hope you find out what it is. :D

What the hell does that even mean.????
LMAO

You get my drift. Hey Prof, can't seem to be able to edit my posts, is that the same for everyone?
(Just come off nightshift, so if the EDIT button is staring me in the face, I apologise)

K and m gona do my clutch for me and show me a better way to adjust it , due to it being a single spring set up .
All good. Just want it done before I take it off the road to paint my tins .

Bear, post editing and deleting time is listed in minutes. It was set at 30 minutes mainly because a couple of guys last year were being stupid and deleting all their photo posts. I have reset it at 1440 minutes which = 1 day.

If you realise a mistake after that time, just pm me and I can do it for you.
