Jophn had a custom shop in WA in the 70's and sent through these pics from his album. Watch "Biker Art" forum in the next few days for a whole lot of his tank and side cover paintings...

Orange & Blue fours

Post by JohnL » Mon May 21, 2007 6:23 pm

Hi Cromag, the orange 4 was a customers bike and I never saw it again. The blue 4 was made up from the good gear on the chop shown on the back of a trailer which was my own. I sold this to a friend who stacked it not long after.

Some before their time mods there, those bars on the orange one are great and i see contemporary copies out there, the strutless rear fender on the rigid, is Ace as well.

Provin Honda chops are classic, good then, good now.......whats your choppin taste go to these days.

Still in the seventies. I still have the chopper frame of the bike shown on the trailer and am currently resurrecting it with a dohc 750/4.

Here's a link to a pic of progress so far.

Ive decided iam head over heels for the orange four.did you build it or did the customer?...been using it as wallpaper for a few weeks and its supernatural.......Iam curious on the molding, what was used....difficulties in mounting coils, wiring etc.....

after my trials getting my Honda up on the road ive decided a Trad Aussie four is the way to go..The orange one is truly inspirational...Iam no good with colour, but black works everytime.

Cromag, I didn't build the orange Honda, I only did the paintwork. From memory the moulding was fibreglass covered with auto bog. Still left room underneath for the coils etc.
