Bzooki's photo's 70's & 80's

Post by BobbaZooki » Fri Apr 25, 2008 12:13 am

well as promised I got a scanner off 'er idoor's mum , but need the program disc to set it up .. D'oh .. anyhoo i tried using the camera to take a photo of a photo .. and well some turn out good and the rest ... Mmmmm . These photo's were all taken in Darwin from around 1978 thru to the 90's .. if you like these i will dig out some more as they are always good for a laugh  .
so here are some of my bike's and a very young "chap" who wished he still owned them (still got the hair though)
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2300/243 ... 4c.jpg?v=0
this bike i bought in melbourne for $6.000 in 1982/3 it was featured in Ozbike ... it was a 58 panhead , but with a shovel bottom end .. 4spd ratch with jockey shift .. 10" over wideglide .. PM brake's & rim's all my mate's where into car's before i got this bike .. after a minor spill i "chopped" it and repaint it , as you'll see
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2314/243 ... 845eb0.jpg
the next photo is of your's truely at 17yr's old in 1978 on a Honda 500/4 which i bought from the wreckers for $50 .. only because it had the number plate 78 .. and that's where it all started with that number
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3204/243 ... b7377d.jpg
this next bike is a 71 Triumph which i swaped for a XY ford ute .. the HD sportstr in the back ground was my mate's .. it was the 1st of 883's , but the last of the ironheads
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2386/243 ... 20.jpg?v=0
this cherry red unit construction trumpy was my mate's Doc .. nice ya
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2145/243 ... 290829.jpg
here's me again with a porn star mo and a darwin river rock's staff T-shirt on (they only have black) ... on my brand spank'in new 1990 HD Heritage
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2332/243 ... b841d9.jpg
and again with my 1owner ( i think i payed around $12.000 for it in 1991/2) 1989 HD Springer and my good old HK 'olden ute in the background and i was sport'in a new tattoo .. that's why i have my shirt off .. 8)
http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2088/243 ... 1b4911.jpg
and me again in 1984/5 on my 50's something Pre-unit Trumpy .. with 6" over springer fork's .. and could'nt afford a razor
http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3054/243 ... fe.jpg?v=0
and here's a close-up of the pan motor .. my "girlfriend at the time took some realy kool photo's of me ride'in and using the jockey shift .. when we broke up , she BBQ them ... alot of them  . The only problem with looking at your old photo's ... other than how bad one dressed .. and the hair .. is that you wished you had of kept the bike's :? . Well at least i still have the memories ratt'in around

possibly Stoand .. from about the earliest one's around 83/4 thru to about 1988 were the best "rages" .. one year around a dozen or so "outlaw" club's turned up .... club's that would normally be at each others throat's down south , but at the Darwin River Rock's they got on like a house on fire .. never any problem's before , during or after the event .. and been on staff at the rage was pretty exciting ... but after the 88 /89 or maybe even later , around 1990/91 is when it all went to poo .. the big club swallowed up the host club , and nobody really went anymore . Mmmmm
