Post by psychomatt » Tue Aug 25, 2009 9:10 pm

well i got bored with no bike to ride so heres my new project

im planning to piece bits together and make a real ol style motorbike out of a pushie

at the moment i had a spare frame, a large wheel for the back and small front

i plan to pick up an old mower engine and throw it in and then take it to the 7 mile beach i live on and see how fast i can get it on the hard sand

I concur. And heaps of it. Stretch the forks, too.

Come on now Psycho, you know the lads are right, to get that board trackin look your after ya gotta stick 3-4" of sstretch in that back section, shoot that in itself will provide a little bit of rake......and trust them, your gonna need it, should be an easy job too, ...well worth it in the end, as that motor regardless of capacity its gonna be spinning at near 1:1 so in the abscence of brakes...youll at least want to go where you point it....a bit of stretch = a little bit of rake = a little bit of handling.....look on your mug when your scootin down the beach......priceless.....

Rake increases trail. On a land speed racer, you want more trail for high speed stability. At least 2or3 inches, maybe more.
Ride it like you can fix it.
