Forum problems?

Has anyone else had problems getting in to any parts of the forum.
I've had an error recurring saying something about maximum users online......

Yeah I sometimes get that...just go back and retry the page..normally works ok.

I can't log on with me work laptop, log on & it goes back to the unlogged on page, same if I try to post, it just keeps bringing up the login boxes for name & password tho usein same info as on here. Its like me laptops web address has been blocked.

Bacca, that problem that you are describing is generally an issue with your browser not accepting or storing cookies.

What browser are you using?

If Internet explorer try this:
1. Go to the tools menu and select Internet options
2. Go to the Privacy Tab
3. See what level the slider for the cookies is on. Then try lowering it to the next one to see if that allows you to log in and stay logged in.

If you are using another browser it will be similar, but I am not currently on another PC to check exactly where to browse to for the settings off the top of my head.

I use Firefox put have just fitted a new hard drive so gotta reload everthing. It loads up many other forums no worries tho. Problem I have found now is I have no setup disk for Vista Home Premium so even if I get the upgrade Win 7 it will still ask for that disk

I tried to load it XP X64 but that didn't find the ATA drive so couldn't load that either

i'v had topic dose not exict when going back to topics after getting email about them being posted on. but i think thats the topic deleting/censor ship fairy.

I have upgraded me laptop & are now runnin Win 7,
I can finaly log on at work so don't have to wait till I get home to post

Don't know if anyone else has noticed this but I have noticed that Subscribe to topics (so it let's me know by email if there are any posts to that topic) I seem to get the emails for a period but after some time ,maybe a few months or so, these subscriptions seem to Drop Off and I no longer get any emails even though there is activity in the topic.

No idea why it happens or exactly how long it takes to expire because I just simply start Not getting any advice email so I assume no activity.

I'm not suggesting anyone try to Fix it because it's probably a really difficult one to pin down.
Just wanted to register that it does happen and maybe see if anyone else has noticed..

Also I suppose to Warn users not to Trust that they will get an email if there is activity in a topc they have subscribed to.
It May happen but also may not

I have had that too , it's a real pain as I rely on it when trying to follow a topic & not getting time to get on the web site often.

try shutting the other browser boxes.
Sounds to me like you have more then one page open at a time.
