Brass Plating?

Post by neale » Mon Jul 02, 2012 1:28 pm

As a matter of interest, does anyone know how brass plating would hold out on a bike, and in particular, whether there's any chance it would survive on an exhaust?

If the gold rims on the 600 are usable (IE the dent in the front rim doesn't mean that it needs to be scrapped), I was thinking a brown/gold colour scheme could work well, and if that was a go, brass plating would fit in better thgan chrome.

Anyone have any insights?

Thanks,

Neale

your pipes. say you were to make your headers from stainless they will turn a gold colour when run as for brass platting no idea but a good chroming plant could do several coats of copper
