Looks like these triple trees may be interchangeable as they all use the same bearing kit. NOt sure if length of headstem is the same though...

Yes I just put an XV1100 triple tree into my XJ900/XJ750. They all apear to be 190 mm long & use the same bearings. 8)
The XV1100 swing arm bolts straight in also on my XJ & is longer.

Nice one. All I need is a comparable set for my chopper and it'll solve all my problems (bloody 550 rule)!

That covers the stem fitting into the bearings, but what about the height?
The real nice thing about yamaha whether intentional or otherwise is that the steering head tube is the same length on most if not all the XV/XJ line.

Measured length on XJ750K, and XV700L: 190 mm

The following list of lower triple tree mounts will all interchange.
