I'm after something I can learn on, second hand would suit the budget, new would have all the parts though, I have not been able to find one sit with crate motors, nothing, I'm eventually going to build a frame around it, need to start on motor in my own mind...

Yeah, true...Metro MC Spares have a good range of engines. Dont forget to look at the Auction sites, like Pickles etc....might pick up a good wreck, mosty they'll be Statutory writeoffs, meaning you wont be able to re-register the frame, but theres a bulk load of other parts you'll get that will take much time to source if you just go the way of an engine. EG, ive nearly got my Shovel sorted (good priced engine/but needs work)..but i stillknow i need gearbox plates, manifolds, ignition modules, cables, footpeg mounts etc..on and on.....if id bought the whole wreck, i could of had all hose bits to start building a frame around........iam none to bright though (and like most even less cashed up) ......personally, next time ill save a bit more cash at first and go the wrecked bike route.

Good luck with your build. If your iinterested ive got an XT250 single - that i was gonna put in a gsx250 chassis you can have both bits for $200....
also got a roller (minus front wheel/engine/bodywork) z650 chassis i was gonna chop then find an engine for for $100

new job means no time to spend on these.
Does not work or play well with others
