Idiot lights.

Post by MArki » Mon May 31, 2010 3:18 pm

Hi all

just wondering if anyone knew off hand what the regs are for dash lights (oil, neutral etc ) in Vic.

Do you need any or what do you need?

Wanna clear up the bars a bit.

Cheers.

From what I understood from going through the rules, the high beam indicator is the ONLY thing you need on the bike, I found nothing stating that I need to have a speedo. Can you confirm this?

Depends what year the bike is.

As for the speedometer, in Vic it is a legal requirement that the driver has an instrument to indicate the vehicle's speed, there's also a legal requirement that the machine must have a means of recording distance travelled.
