22 Moulding #3...

A blow by blow photographic account of chopping from stock to chop... This projcet has been given its own forum due to the large number of photos it contains making uploading slow for those of you still on "dial up".

Frame and swing arm moulding...

Steering head area was a real challenge to smooth with minimal putty. Lots of welded holes and grinder marks to be dealt with...

Finished frame from the rear...

Welds cleaned up with angle grinder and flap disc prior to moulding. Flap disc was also used on many spots on frm to smooth out angle grinder marks rough spots on frame and rough welds etc

Areas like this are so much easier to keep clean once moulded...

Almost finished. Spent more time finishing tank after a day's rest as it had some irregularities from factory and moulding also needed more work. Then it was off off to see AJ about priming and painting...
