Breather filter...
The Sporty breather as with many other bikes originally fed into the back of the aircleaner.... alright if you have a big aircleaner or want another long hose hanging around.

Our answer is NO to both of these and here's a nice tidy and good looking alternative...

Remove breather fitting from gear case and keep it handy...

Take original fittng to your local supplier of brass fittings eg any hydralulics place, or most tool places. Get a tapered brass fitting ½" 18TPI I think and...
A nicely chromed breather filter was purchased from AutoBahn for less than $10 rather than $50+ at bike shops!

Use some thread tape to insert brass fitting. Slide filter over it and tighten clamp. Neat and tidy...and economical.
