2. Forward Controls..

Post by Prof » Mon Nov 06, 2006 10:00 am

I will post more details on forward controls soon...
Image
Forward controls... Brake master cylinder has been moved forward 8", brake pushrod is just that... a Ford pushrod! Foot pad is cut off an old English brake lever...

With master cylinder shifted forwards, webbing etc on sprocket cover has been able to be removed. Much tidier now. Left over holes will be filled with aluminium weld...

Andersons were picked up at a swap meet. Pivot and support is drilled and reamed for exact fit to 5/8" shaft.

Gear lever pivots and shafting same as for brake. Grease nipples on both sides will keep things smooth. New toe pad for English bikes is held in place with 5/16 stainless socket head bolt. We made up a small ginding bit to counter sink socket head into rubber. Auto petrol pipe has 5/16 ID so slides nicely over bolt to allow it to pull up tight with out squashing the rubber toe pad.
