Bombala 2013

Post by 78gold » Tue Aug 27, 2013 10:42 am

Hi All,
Its on again, the Bombala Bike show is on the 16th November 2013 and Kerry and I will be heading down again.
Anyone else interested ???
Maybe someone with a new Big Boulevarde ???

Can take a back up trailer maybe dependant on who is going.

This is also what I call Kerry's Birthday run as it just happens to co-incide with her Birthday (Give or Take).

What a husband I am, every year I take my beloved for a Birthday Weekend away, might have to harden up or I will end up with a bad reputation.

Anyway let me know if their is any interest.

Hopefully the link is below.

Mate be great to get Leane along but there is more important things at moment.

As for lemony drinks, well she is pretty peeved that you cleaner uppers threw half a case away.
Think she will be a Gin lime and soda girl this time.

Anyway looking at the site the bar closes at midnight and the band stops at 1am, so might walk down to the Pub anyway.

Pygmy,
First trip, 2011, we took the van and trailer, poured with rain but Kerry and I were dry as.
From memory Tex slept in trailer and the rest under a tarp we put up over van and trailer.
Pity was, tarp had a few holes,
Few wet boys next morning but better than being completely drenched.

If I take trailer may have to put bike in back as Kerry not too keen on towing trailer all the way herself.

Anyway we will see how many interested and go from there.

Just a reminder everyone that this is sneaking up on us again.

Kerry and I will be making our annual pilgrimage and it would be great if we could get a few other CA Members to join us.

Yes I know it has rained every year  but this year will be different.

If enough going I may be able to wangle Kerry to drive the car/van with a support trailer complete with little gas cooker and storage.

Tex if you would like to go but don't feel like riding all the way, why not fly down spend a couple of nights at the Casa Del Oatley and I am sure I can find you something to ride down to Bombala. (A Dyna Maybe??) 8)

Pygmie, maybe another ride across, its a bit closer than the Mushter. Might even get some of the other SA riders interested as well. :?:

Melbourne Crew, chuck a couple of sleeping bags on board and I will bring a tarp for you and any others to sleep under. :)

Anyway anyone who can make it is welcome.

Either post here or PM me if interested and we can get some numbers etc.

Dont forget to look at my original post for the link, have a look it is a great weekend.

Not wanting to offend I noticed I left out those from WA, NT, ACT, QLD and Tassie.

Sorry guys obviously all are welcome and if we could get every State and Territory represented would be a blast.

Its worth the effort and probably one of the more central rides we do (Except for WA). very laid back bike show with camping onsite as well as bands etc.

I even own something vaguely resembling wet weather gear these days. Not sure of my attendance, but it's marked on the dance card
