Greazefest 2010 new Brisbane venue

Post by pullmyfinga » Wed Nov 18, 2009 9:25 pm

Final arrangements are likely to be completed very soon for Greazefest to move to a new venue for 2010. The new place will be the Rocklea Showgrounds on the south side of Brisbane. The venue for the past years was filled to bursting point in 2009 and that has prompted a change. Look for a date in August 2010.

The Souths leagues club at West End was always watered and kept nice and green because it was a Footy Oval. But the Rocklea Show Grounds could be a dust bowl.
I hope this isn't the case. Would be a shame to see Greazefest suffer because of a dusty venue.

Valid point about the dust. From my experience the trotting track itself and the drives are dusty but the huge infield and off street parking areas are OK. Check out the Twilight Hot Rod Show on Australia Day, that will be a test run for Greazefest. If there are problems or complaints the organisers will hopefully be able to address them by August.

It's fantastic! Sunday is the best, Thursday/Friday/Saturday are just evenings but GOOD evenings!!

There's always loads of BBQ's and house parties all weekend.

it's on this Sunday, 1/8/10 at the Rocklea show grounds.

SGT, Bucket and I will be going.

SGT will have his car in the show, I will be putting my Triumph in too.

If you make it keep an eye out for us, we will be there all day.

It was a great day out there in the warm sun, lots to look at, and we caught up with a few friends too.

Here is the pics, I don't know who won what, maybe someone can help with that one.

Great Pics!
PhotoBucket is very slow these days.
Alotta people use it.
Mostly because it is easy to use if you can wait long enough.....
I still haven't found anything else that works that is any faster or easier.
Ride it like you can fix it.
