mrs not so xsive's vt 250 virago build

Post by xsive » Mon Jun 18, 2012 8:41 pm

ok here we go again leanne (mrs xsive) has finaly got her L's and decided that an xs is a bit much for her yet so a VT250 will do for now. as most of you know I cant leave anything alone and std sucks so I wont be happy until its modified somewhat plan is to bob the R"send a little ,rid it of rear pegs, powder coat silver met frame, chrome swing arm, engine mounts side stand ect and build a proper twin system instead of the make believe jobby that they have . replace the blinkers with some of old farts small units and fit a limp dicky tail lamp to the modified rear gaurd and the challenge is to have it finished before the mushter even though I will be spending the next 2 months in China so far this week ive managed to make the exhaust system from 304 stainless .chop of a few undesirables ,strip it to powder coating and chroming stage to be done while im away and put it all togeather when ones self returns. piece of cake! some pictures of the exhausts

Nice work on the pipes I like those bends they are real neat ! Tell me you are gonna change the intake setup I am not a fan of the weird sorta downdraft thing they have goin on, maybe a nice little SU hangin out the left side would look good ?

thanks matt i have a nice little pair of flat slide i was considering but mrs xsive says its her bike and if im let to loose with it it will become what i want to build and not what she wants to ride :| so we will keep it a little sane for now and see what transpires in the future

750/4 Sonic chopper.
A custom bike or a chopper should be something that has had the original essence of its existence altered to project the skills, objectives and artistic vision of its creator so the viewer or “beholder” and the creator can be positively stimulated by the actual bold or sublime beauty of the bike. Both need to project an essence of suitability, practicality, function and righteousness that has no stand for mediocrity or aesthetic blasphemy.
