1971 Bonneville

Post by tigerbob » Wed Mar 20, 2013 7:09 pm

While I'm posting photos I may as well post some of my '71 Bonny (I don't think I've posted them before). It was such a nice day the other day I decided to wheel the Bonny out for some pics.

It's a '71 with a '73 T140V. It is vaugely cafe inspired but essentially stock (except for the 750 of course). It basically just needs wiring to finish it.

It was originally used as a race bike in the 70s and was retired in the late 70s I believe. The T140 motor was pulled from it's original frame in the early 80s and sat unused since then. I bought it in Lonsdale, SA so some of you may know it's history?

It has stainless spokes and I've had the brake drums machined. It has a few chrome bits & pieces that I took off the Tiger chop that I also have (I was initially intending on building the chop in a bit of a rat style). I've also added fork gaitors and Doherty style levers.

Enough of the talk, here's the important bit - the pictures!
