Mega Ride Video Music???

Post by pommychopper » Sun Jun 21, 2009 5:28 pm

I'm interested in what music you blokes would like to have on the mega ride video?
If you can keep it to Aus bands that'd be great, maybe if they have a Myspace or an MP3 so we can listen, then decide and ask them?

I'll start with these blokes http://www.myspace.com/casinorumblers
Or these http://www.myspace.com/cornliquorband.

I don't doubt that Chucky will get all excited with these two!

And (Edit) Macy and Me by this lot http://www.myspace.com/texasteaband
Hairs on the back of yer neck stuff!!

Cheers all :D :D

Good job fat man!! :-) Both bands are good and if you want good aussie music then go see some of these bands. There is so much good stuff out there at the minute it makes y'proud

Its a LONG list but still only scrapes the surface 8)

http://www.myspace.com/aampirellas
Classic defunct punkers

http://www.myspace.com/zombieghosttrain
Probably the second best psychobilly band out of Aus.......fireballs are #1

http://www.myspace.com/vegaskings
Hail is a good song, but this band do music to drag race to.

http://www.myspace.com/marchingorders
Brothers in arms or back on the streets are both great tracks......good classic Oi! band

http://www.myspace.com/fireballsaustralia
Depression manic is a good song!

http://www.myspace.com/thetenfours

They do a great song called stick shifts and safety belts, but broken heart and midnight mover are good.

http://www.myspace.com/rollerballrocks

"Highly likely" is a good tune. Rollerballs stuff really grooves along; good highway music. I'm playing with these guys on Friday the 26th and the 11th (gonna be playing harmonica)

http://www.myspace.com/concretestreetrocknroll

WAR! top song and their logo just says it all really!!!

http://www.myspace.com/graveyardtrain3051

a band with a chain as an instrument; the player of the chain spilt a pint of blood on stage on Saturday without missing a beat......quality

http://www.myspace.com/capntwilight

love and whiskey on the rocks.

http://www.myspace.com/theofficialradiobirdman

http://www.myspace.com/sydneycitytrash

http://www.myspace.com/ausmutiny

http://www.myspace.com/jackflashband
These guys do an awesome red gum cover of ned kelly.

also we might be able to find something that captures now,
the bike seine in October 2008,
the vibe of the thing.
not the sound that reminds you of something else.
somthing that when you hear it, it screams MEGGGGGAAA RIIIIDDDE!

that said i have no idea what's playing at the pubs now days or even what pubs to go to check out local, up coming bands. the pub i used to go to (The Sandringham) no longer has bands but pokies instead!
Hate to say it Sam but it's 2009!! :D

We don't want to be paying royalties but any unsigned bands or ones that don't mind tons of publicity will be the go.

Cheers :D

Maybe you could use this link as a source of music

TripleJ Unearthed

It's got heaps of music, many different styles, all by unsigned loacal bands.

Has a bio section that usually contains a link to the bands site - so they could be contacted.

Real locals

Post by XSChop » Sat Jun 27, 2009 12:07 pm

Well for me it's gotta be
Hat Fitz
CW Stoneking
and Robert Johnstone
No not the American Robert Johnson blues icon but a local mate of mine actually called Robert Johnstone who plays the most Awesome blues.
Could easliy get him to record a sound track if you want.
It's not about the Bling /:~)>
Well maybe a bit !
