Wheel Rim Suppliers

Post by pommychopper » Sat Jun 09, 2007 6:20 pm

Just been quoted $800.00 to supply a 16"X4.25" rim and stainless spokes, laced to my XR600 hub :x

Suffice to say i'm not impressed!!

Anyone know of somewhere i can get rims and spokes from, i'll lace it myself, have emailed Hagonoz.com.au and waiting for a reply.

Cheers all. :D

You could try a guy in Brisbane I think the place is "Ash's spoked wheels" or something like that. I m sure its in the book - otherwise, let me know and I can dig out his card (I spoke with him at a swap meet).
For the Z1 he was quoting in the 250 to 300 buck region for a new rim, spokes and assembly.
I reckon he should be cheaper than your $800 quote..

But that said there may well be cheaper guys out there.. some of the local guys should have a better idea.

cheers,
G.

You could try here: http://www.jpcycles.com/index.aspx

I read that others in Oz had ok luck getting things from JP.
But you better know what you want cause returns would most likely be a pain....
