spotlights on bikes
After making my bare bones seat on my 98 aero i decided to have a go and make my own lightbar the fabrication side is easy but i dont know the legalitys of how to wire them up in victoria. Do they have to be connected to the high beam only or can they be wired up on a seperate line to be switched on and off as needed?.
friends welcome family by appiontment only.
From memory - an isolation switch that cuts the power circuit, but power is still supplied from the high beam circuit.
ie: spot lights will only come on when you switch to high beam with the isolation switch off (not isolating and allowing power to the spot lights)
Easiest way to do it is with a relay. Main power circuit from battery to spotties (fused). For the switching circuit, power from the high beam circuit, earth side via the isolation switch.
