The old front fender was not wide enough to fit the rear wheel.
What to do?

Split it

And weld a split piece of 1 inch tube in the middle

Looks cool to me

After two days in front of the barn, this is where we stopped.

Sooooo....
We got a little more done.
It was kinda a picture poor couple days....
but here we go...

the engine had a hole in the #2 piston

so we took it apart.

the new gasket set came with valve stem seals so we lapped the valves and put the new seals on the valves.

Juan was on a budget but came with a wheelbarrow full of spare parts.

So we took a few engines apart to find enough good parts to make one runner.

It was allot easier then I thought to do the rebuild. Timing the cam was kinda a pain it the a$$, but other then that it went well.

A quick carb rebuild and once again back to the parts engines to make 3 sets of junk carbies into 1 set of good....

Back in the bike.

some oil.

some petrol

and away we go.

He was supper for a couple coyotes about a week after we got back home from the Mega Ride.....
