Funny comments

But I reckon there's method in this guy's apparent ebay madness. First he gets worldwide exposure for his bike itself, virtually for free. He also insinuates ( possibly subconsciously or subliminally ) that he's a 'top end bike builder' worthy of such asking. He also gets people taking interest in his work by simply discussing the outrageous pricetag, posting it on websites etc.

If it doesn't sell, who cares, he'd probably take 1/4 of that price in good time. But, on the other hand, if some douchebag wins the lottery, or receives an inheritance, or comes into big money in any way somehow, they might simply walk in and pay the asking price, in which his little gamble has payed off and he's pocketed a cool $300K profit. He probably also had a great day at the photo shoot too !!!

It's not a win/win situation, but to me it's a pretty good way to go about setting one up for yourself.
Rock on !
