So got the black pin wash on this hopefully gives the thing a grimy worn look.
Also dabbed a bit extra on around the fuel filler, let it sit to give the spilt fuel look.

And she's on the road, hot day in the South Pacific today bit of a breeze in the arvo so nice for
a ride around my favorite photo spots, she's a gem this one.

Fitted her up with a suitable light, will be powered eventually.
Image Image

Image Image

So where does the fuel go? In the fuel tank of course, fitted the charge jack under the fake
fuel filler, where else!?
Image Image

Had a to get a pic of my Indians together hey could you call this a tribe!?
Image Image

Image

So what's next, having a go at a Headbadge, so had a bit of scrap copper tube, found a
pic on the net, copied this to size then cut out the gaps. Traced this onto the copper than
cut it out with my dremel, bit fiddly but getting there. Making two as I have two Indians.

Took most of a rainy day to make these two, dremel, then file, then buff.

May just be able to see I scribed in Hendee MFG and Springfeild Mass.
Image Image

Also added a tail light from an old reflector and some plumbing pipe I had lying around.

Getting all arty on the computer.

That's the ten year old Boarder Collie "Fly" looking happy to have her photo taken! Getting close,
still a bit more to do, will convert her over to a boardtracker soon and see how she looks.

the arty photo looks good, maybe see if you can dull down the white walls a little bit (on computer for photo or dirty up the actual tyres and you could dress in period clothing and then take another photo. I think you would fool a lot of people into thinking it's a genuine picture of the period.

So here she is as a boardtracker, not as comfortable a riding position for sure!

Yeah she is actually a better riding machine in traditional mode and this is how she will spend most of her
life I believe. But as the title first suggested she's a boardtracker first and foremost. So wanted a more
authentic looking boardtracker seat, cut from a skateboard deck.

These are absolutely brilliant. Such attention to detail, makes them look authentic. Credit to you, mate. :D

Okay so been off bikes for some time, been working on filling the void
under the tank, from the outset I was always going to try to get this
thing as close to the real thing as my ability would allow, the third twist
fake engine.

So I live pretty isolated and have to build my bikes from what I can beg,
borrow or pirate from here, there and everywhere, the bulk of this thing
is mainly from scrap plywood.

Image

The cylinder head is cut out of an old compressor head.
Image

More plywood for the oil tank and mangeto, the carbie an old torch and scrap plumbing
pipe or the intake manifold and exhaust.
Image

Bit more detail, pipes are old brake lines pulled off a wrecked car, the oil valve from
an old primus stove as is the oil tank filler.
Image

Oil pump from the same dismantled primes stove, the crank shaft is driven by the pedals.
Image

Now most of the mock up is now done, next, dismantle and paint! Have a great New Year bike fans!

Got the fake engine painted and fitted up, not 100% happy, the oil tank is too
silver and want to add more weathering to the crankcase, getting close.

The4 uninitiated would think it was the real thing. Might have to add a sound track of the real motor for while you are on the bike... now that would get people in.
