This is what is meant by getting dwon to it... a really painful engine bolt that needed three hands...

Dale has put in quite a few hours to help me get the project finished on time....

The chopper as of 8pm tonight... just exhausts to paint and put on... and a couple of mirrors...

Front wheel is CB750. Rotoris cut down CB F series and caliper is GSX. Forks are narrower than CB's so speedo drive would not quite fit. I have purchased a neat little Garmin Edge 20 GPS speedo...

Rear end... HD wheel and sprocket. Chainguard is stainless...

These long handgrips (40mm more than usual) made it difficult to fit controls and switches to the stainless apes. Solution was to make a new clutch bracket incorporating the switches...

Rear brake caliper is grimeca and caused lots of grief, stripped threads and stuffed piston rubbers... New on seals arrivd this afternoon... all working now but dragging a little, with luck it will settle in with some use.
Tank was sealed yesterday and will be ready for fuel Sunday arvo. Then we can fire her up. Last job will be aircleaners... which for the time being will have to be a breadbox style as nothing else will fit. Hope to make that Monday.
