Before doing any staightening it is a good idea to brace the frame via the engine mounts... or you might find the motor won't fit later. Far side member looks bent in this photo as well but it is just the sideways curve that is in both tubes...
Heat and a scissors jack did the trick. From working on another KZ I knew that removing the cover is difficult anyway so we cut back the top of the sidestand lug...
...and rewelded it. With the lower profile should now be fine and still strong enough...
