Just been trolling through your web site and thought you may be interested in the products of my fertile imagination.
I build model bikes in steel completely from scratch. The engines are a combination of bolts, nuts washers and nails. The frames are made from 5mm steel rod. Handlebars are 4mm rod and the exhausts usually from 8mm rod.
The wheels I buy from hardware stores and the tank and guards are made from 1.5mm sheet steel. The seats are made with a steel base covered in foam and upholsterers leather.
They're about 300 to 450mm long and weigh a couple of kilo's. So far I've mainly made choppers but I have also made a couple of vintage bikes as well.
Cheers
Woof

Thought you might like some piccies of my latest bike.
Of the ones you've already put on the site, the white one was built for my grand daughter, the black bobber is a Chrissy present for my son Andrew. Tthe orange one is a Chrissy present for my other son Bradley and this one is a Chrissy present for my nephew Matt.
Over the next couple of months I have to build one for both my daughters and then maybe, just maybe I can actually get around to building one or two for myself.

A model by Prof... This clay model had been on mum's TV for about 20years until she knocked it off and it broke into a lot of piecs. Woof got me enthused and I glued it all back together and it's now on display in our kitchen... and there's quite a story to it which I hope you enjoy...

I made it when teahing art in Port Pirie in 1977. I had a number of classes of non academic boys who were expected to love making clay pots! Either that or the hierarchy figured thay would be out of their way if they came over to me!
This fertile little brain then hatched a devious plot... I'd get the lads doing something thay could relate to... so I knocked up this sample of what I wanted them to do... initial reaction was "I can't do that"...
...so we spent a term cutting up hotrod magazines and putting all the pics on laminated cards... and then we learnt together about motors and carbies and superchargers etc... and then we had a crack at building our hotrods out of clay.
Most of the guys built models about 15" - 20" long and most were incredibly detailed... right down to the wheel nuts, throttle linkages, plug leads and fan belts. Models were fired in our kiln at 1150ºC, painted and coated with estapol. I couldn't get out of my classroom... the lads would be in there recess times lunch times and after school... they may not have been academic... but they sure could work when something got their interest and enthusiasm... taught me a few things about real education!
We put on a display in the library and staff room and you have never seen so many droppped jaws... gave me great satisfaction. Also the lad's not only achieved something they were really proud of, but learnt a lot of useful stuff in the process...

Some more of Woof's work...
"I made up a photo studio (two pieces of ply hinged together and then covered in an old white towel). Even with my old and very cheap camera, the quality difference is amazing."

These sculptures are by Mark Patrick from South Colorada. I found them in an EasyRiders Magazine from October 2001.

A couple more models by Woof...
This bantam made by request ...

This one was going to be yellow, but got left a while before painting and he found a redback in the tank...hence the and paint scheme & name ... Redback...

If you would like a chopper model or a replica of your bike, Woof can do them. Cost is about $150 for a general chopper model and Around $200 for a replica. You will need some clear photos from different angles. Email Woof at woof.46@optusnet.com.au
