Most these trips are fairly short and
we take it easy and use good roads for the sake of our rigid riders
and their pillions. A couple of runs each year are usually
overnighters. Contact the run coordinator with your ideas...

SA Chopper 2010
Muster, 24th October...
We have changed our annual SA musters to the
middle weekend of October. It will be a full weekend event at
"Prof's Lodge" at Willunga... a couple of
acres with basic accommodation including hot showers and cooking
facilities... Event begins Friday night with BBQ tea.
Chopper Show including trophies begins at 9am Saturday morning with
lunch at the Alma Hotel 15 metres away. Activities include a
short afternoon ride, a sunset ride along the sand between Aldinga
Beach and Sellicks Beach on Saturday. Sunday morning
activities will be decided closer to the event.
Changing our annual muster to October allows us to
enjoy campfires and the weather is likely to be much milder than in
January. The chopper show in Willunga coincides with a number of
markets as well as the very popular weekend long Fleurieu Folk
Festival which attracts over 10,000 visitors, so there is plenty for
your family to enjoy.
Making it a weekend event allows members to get to
know each other, gives families a little holiday and makes it easier
for interstaters to join us.
Come on your chopper and bring your whole family...
Accommodation at Prof's lodge is $5 per person over 15yrs to cover
power etc Participants provide your own food. The
Willunga butchers provide excellent quality meat and small goods,
plus there is a Saturday morning food market next to the chopper
show. There is also a Coles Supermarket with in five minutes of
Willunga.

Build that chop...
Be it long and lean or low and mean,
High in the head or low instead,
Rigid, swing arm, plunger heel...
Anything to give that chopper feel.
Stretch and rake just
oozes class.
Chrome, alloy, classy paint job, what a blast.
Harley, Italian, Jap or Brit,
When it’s fully chopped it’ll fit.
Planned in the kitchen, built in the shed,
You
spin your spanners, while your lady’s abed.
It’s a part of you, not
some mega-buck clone.
Your
chop is best ‘cos it’s built at home.

A stocker? No way! That
ain’t cool...
It’s
over real chops that the chickies drool.
So you build your chop
though it’s not all fun.
You
sweat and swear ‘til you get it done.
Finished! Your baby's a
beaut and tracks real sweet
Roar
of exhaust, stretched out feet,
Riding your chopper come
what may,
Wind
in your face; you're King for the day…
